We would also request translators and interpreters to send a CV containing the following information:

  • Your qualifications: the subject(s) you graduated in, post-graduate translation studies and so forth.
  • Your experience: please give the number of years you have been working as a professional translator and/or interpreter and some examples of assignments you have carried out, including a note as to the subject matter and approximate volume.
  • Your fields of expertise: please state the fields in which you specialise.
  • The CAT tool(s) you use.
  • Any other information whatsoever that you believe might have a bearing on our future collaboration.
  • You are also very welcome to attach some samples of your work, including both the original and your translation. However, this is not in the least an essential requirement.

In the case of editors and reviewers who work on the editing, reviewing and proofreading of texts in their native language, please send a CV containing the following information:

  • Your experience: please give the number of years you have been working as a professional editor/reviewer/proofreader and some examples of assignments you have carried out. We prefer people with publishing experience, so please could you also provide the names of the publishers with whom you work or have worked and the titles of the publications in which you have had an input as an editor, reviewer or proofreader.
  • Your proficiency in your foreign language(s), to a degree enabling you to compare a translated text with the original in order to pick up on substantive errors.
  • The CAT tool(s) you use.
  • Any other information whatsoever that you believe might have a bearing on our future collaboration.
